Your off-road vehicle will only be driven by a member of our team of professional tour guides. Your tour guide was among the top 1% of applicants in a competitive hiring process. The education portion of our tour guide training program includes testing and certification on Sonoran desert flora, fauna, and history. Our tour guides must also successfully complete off-road driver’s training, basic first aid, and CPR/AED. Tour guests never drive the off-road vehicles.

Public tours meet at our operations office located on the east side of the Village of Pinnacle Peak: 8711 East Pinnacle Peak Road Suite F-108, Scottsdale, Arizona 85255. Type Scottsdale Adventure Tours into Google maps and the app will navigate directly to the front door of our operations office. We also offer a hotel pick-up and drop-off transportation service for an additional fee.

Yes. For an additional fee our 14-passenger transportation van provides hotel pick-up and drop-off at any resort, hotel, or Airbnb within Scottsdale or Paradise Valley. Feel free to book our 14-passenger van on our website or call our office.

Yes. Our Sonoran Desert Jeep Tour is a bumpy ride through rigorous off-road terrain. It is not suitable for passengers with neck programs, back problems, major medical conditions, or any other health condition that can be aggravated by a bumpy off-road ride through rough terrain.

It depends. Our off-road tour vehicles hold 6 passengers, 7 passengers, or 14 passengers. If your group has 14 or fewer but more than 7 guests, our private tour and bachelorette party package option will reserve the 14-passenger off-road vehicle for your group only. If your group has 7 or fewer guests, our private tour and bachelorette party package will reserve a 7-passenger or 6-passenger off-road vehicle for your group only. If your group has more than 14 guests, your group will be placed into more than one off-road vehicle. If the 14-passenger off-road vehicle is already booked by another group and you have more than 7 guests, your group will be placed into more than one off-road vehicle. Book early!

It depends. If you book a private tour or a bachelorette party package, the off-road vehicle + tour guide will be reserved for your group only. If you do not book a private tour or a bachelorette party package, you will have the opportunity to ride with and meet other travelers from around the world.

We offer a risk-free, 100% cancellation with 24-hour advance notice. In the event of severe weather or if the minimum tour capacity is not met we will cancel the tour and issue a 100% refund.

It is a low-speed tour of the Sonoran Desert. You may get a little dust on your face but other than that you will not get dirty.

In our winter months starting in November through March you must dress warm for the Sunset Tour. Once the sun goes down temperatures drop 10 to 20 degrees. No sandals. In Spring and Summer months it’s best to wear light colored or white shirts to deflect the suns rays. Bring Sunscreen and Bug Repellant. If you are sensitive to Bees bring your Epi Pen.

We offer Private Bachelorette parties for groups of 7 or 14. If you have less than 7 or 8-13 or more than 14 you can book a Sonoran Desert Tour daytime or sunset and put in the comments that it is a Bachelorette Party. It will be a public tour. We will do the best to put guests in with your party that are compatible.

NO. There is too great a risk no matter what stage of pregnancy. If a problem arises in the desert we have no way to get an individual to the hospital fast enough.
